Selecting a trainer is one of the most important tasks that you take on for you and your dog. Before enrolling in a training program, ask yourself the following questions.

*Ten points to keep in mind when selecting a trainer:*

1. Does the trainer have a love for animals?

2. How many years of experience does the trainer have?

3. Does the trainer have good communication skills with women, men, and children?

4. What are the methods of teaching the trainer employs?

5. Is this trainer capable of handling any and all situations that may arise?

6. What is his or hers rapport with your dog?

7. How many times does the trainer want you in during the week as once is not enough?

8. Do they offer anything after you finish your training program?

9. Do they guarantee their work?

10. What are their hours of operation and does it agree with your schedule? Are they flexible?
